Trip to Maine/Boston

Boy has it been a busy August! We have been all over town at BBQs in Freeport, Sayville, Massapequa, Farmingdale....we sure do get around. The most significant endeavor this month was our first out of state trip to the New England area to visit the McDowells and the Toms.

We started off leaving NY on a Friday around 11. We were making great time until we hit some traffic just south of the border of the state of Maine. Overall Juliana was an angel in the car and slept mostly the entire way. She woke up halfway through for a bottle, drank it up and fell back asleep! It was a real pleasure.

We first went to Portland, Maine to stay with Laura and Andy for two nights. They moved there in the beginning of July and seem to be loving it. I can see why...it was a very relaxing and beautiful little city. We spent one day hanging around Portland and did a duck tour through Casco Bay and the city. Here are a few photos from that day. Andy is a fantastic photographer.

The following day we left Portland and drove about an hour south to Wells, Maine where Tom A's Grandfather has a summer house. We spent two nights in Wells with a stop over at the Portland Head Light and some of the local towns including Kennebunkport and Ogunquit.

After we left Maine, we spent a night in Cambridge which is just outside Boston, MA with Tom and Tom. Juliana, Tom Armstrong and I did another duck tour around Boston while Joe and Tom V. went to work. We also visited the JFK Presidential Library which I found very interesting. Overall it was a great trip and Juliana did really well with sleeping in her travel crib and moving from place to place. We are very lucky she is such a good baby and we can enjoy her with all of our friends who live out of state.

This last set of photos are from a mini photo shoot we had with Grandma a few days ago. Juliana smiles away and loves to coo when people talk to her. Here are some of her adorable faces!

Tobay Beach/Big Shot

Last weekend we enjoyed a trip to the beach with the Greco/Esposito clan. We spent some time at the ocean before a storm blew in.

On Tuesday night we went to see Big Shot playing at Music Under the Stars with the Vitales, Espositos and Cowans. There were approximately 20,000 people there enjoying the perfect weather and great music. Can't wait for next year!

Smiling Away!

Juliana has started smiling in response to voices and songs. She is starting to get a great little personality. She is still sleeping most of the day and all night, but for those brief moments she is awake, she is happy and smiling away!
